The viral WhatsApp message quotes a Cabinet decision to this effect and mentions the name of Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar as being the prime mover of the proposal.
These new rates will be applicable from April 1, 2025. This increase has been made keeping in mind inflation, which will provide financial relief to the workers, the government said.
