Two weeks after the Pahalgam attack in Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian government will conduct the most extensive nationwide defence mock drills on May 7. The public will not have any inconvinience by these civil defence drills as they will be smoothly conducted.
The Uttar Pradesh government has upgraded two of its major expressways with world class amenities. UPEIDA will transform the Purvanchal and Bundelkhand Expressways into e-way hub. A detailed action plan for the construction and development of at least 12 e-way hubs has been prepared.
The mock drills amid India-Pakistan tensions will be held across the country, with special emphasis on highly sensitive border states like Punjab, Rajasthan, Jammu & Kashmir, West Bengal, and the Northeast.
After the Pahalgam terror attack, India has been strengthening both its military and even preparing citizens for any possible potential emergencies. Amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan after which the Ministry of Home Affairs has directed nationwide mock drills for May 7.
According to the ministry, the drills will take place in 244 civil defence districts across the country. These areas have already been categorised for civil defence activities.
